LaPearl Logan Winfrey, PhD,
is Dean and Professor Emerita at Wright State
University’s School of Professional Psychology and a retired Clinical Psychologist. A
leader in her field, she served as president of the National Council of Schools and
Programs of Professional Psychology and is a life member of the Association of Black Psychologists. In 2020, she received the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship Program’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to racial and ethnic minority psychology. After nearly 50 years working in professional psychology, Dr. Winfrey remains active in nonprofit leadership, serving on the boards of the League of Women Voters Dayton and United Church Homes, and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is also a proud mother and grandmother, inspired by her family to continue advancing equity and community well-being.
